DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments, requirements):

You will be responsible for organizing a space biology laboratory, establishing and implementing a research program based on innovative thinking and scientific excellence complementarity with the currently available specialized knowledge in the fields of space biology, biological system modeling, and bioenergetics.

The scope of your duties will also include implementing an international research program regarding the exploration of life possibilities in the space environment as well as obtaining funding for projects based on national and international funds, including funding from the European Research Council. As a part of your research activities, you will be developing international partnerships with the scientific units, stakeholders, and industrial partners.

Subject area: space technologies, biomedical engineering, space biology. We offer full-time temporary employment (1 FTE) for 4 years (48 months). Planned employment from 01/06/2024.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) minimum doctoral degree: biological sciences, or medical sciences, or animal science,
2) declared field of science: biomedical engineering,
3) documented significant scientific achievements in the area of biomedical engineering, or biological sciences, or space biology,
4) documented research fellowship at a foreign university or another equivalent research unit (minimum period of 4 years),
5) experience in carrying out scientific-research projects,
6) experience in acquiring funds for scientific research and managing research projects,
7) experience in international partnerships,
8) participation in scientific conferences and symposiums,
9) exemplary excellent ethical attitude (accordant with www.agh.edu.pl/o-agh/dokumenty/inne/kodeks-etyczny-agh),
10) Hirsch Index ≥ 10 (SCOPUS),
11) knowledge of English at B-2 level at least, 12) organisational achievements.

Additional:

1) scientific publications with foreign co-authors.

  4. a document proving your residency at a foreign university or another equivalent research unit,
  5. a document proving your knowledge of English at B-2 level at least,
